During the holidays we all try to look our best and that doesn’t just apply to people, but also to our pets.

Groomers at the Paw Spa and Pet Resort at 168th and Harrison say they’ve been packed. “Grooming has been completely crazy. With the holiday everyone wants their pets to look beautiful, so we’ve just been non-stop on the grooming,” said Sheila Kusmierski.

Kusmierski and Kevin Irish own the new business. It just opened two weeks ago, just in time for the busiest time of the year for them. On Christmas Eve many dogs got a full shampoo, trim, and some even got a Christmas bow.

Kusmierski says they also provide daycare and overnight lodging. She says a lot of people take advantage of their facilities over the holidays. They have a bone shaped pool for the dogs and a personal TV for each dog.
